It is Just a Game

So playing over the weekend I ran a winning streak, then inevitably hit a losing streak playing League.  It happens.  Over any decent period of, even if you maintain a 60-70% win rate, you are not going to win anywhere near all of your games.

Of course, everyone wants to win.  But in every game of League you play, 5 people are going to lose, sometimes, that is going to have to be you.  There are a few things that you need to remember in this situation, when it becomes obvious that your going to lose.

It is just a game, and as such, you are supposed to be playing it to have fun.  If you are not having fun, then why are you playing.  So just because you are losing, doesn't mean you need to get angry.  Just have fun, play the game.  It will make the next game much more likely go well if you are not angry about this one.

Don't give up.  Just because you are obviously losing doesn't mean you should surrender.  It is a valuable learning opportunity, learning to play from a losing position.  If you surrender that is a guaranteed loss, but if you keep playing, anything could happen.  You may only need one mistake from the other team to turn the game around.

It doesn't matter if you lose.  You should be focusing on improving as a player, which can be done weather you lose or win.  As long as you are a better player at the end of the game, it doesn't matter what the outcome of the game was.
